We are seeking two talented and detail-oriented Business Process Analysts to join our teams in our Phoenix, AZ and Beltsville, MD plants.
As a Business Process Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency and cost optimization in our manufacturing processes across multiple print facilities.
Your expertise in manufacturing capacity planning will be instrumental in supporting our strategic decision-making and ensuring the success of our operations.
The ideal candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools and can demonstrate experience working with large data sets to tell stories and answer business questions.
Job Overview/Responsiblities Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, finance, and supply chain, to gather requirements and understand business needs related to manufacturing capacity planning, routing/load balancing, manufacturing scheduling, product strategy, and product costingAnalyze manufacturing capacity data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide insights and recommendations to optimize capacity utilization and streamline production processesOwn product routing for the company making timely adjustments per business needs while also driving toward volume routing objectivesDevelop and maintain comprehensive cost models to analyze and optimize product costing, including labor, materials, overheads, and shipping costs.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and collaborate with procurement, logistics, and finance teams to implement initiativesAnalyze production volumes and capacities across multiple facilities, develop routing/load balancing strategies to optimize resource allocation, minimize bottlenecks, and ensure efficient throughputUtilize advanced Excel modeling skills to develop scheduling models and tools that optimize production sequences, minimize changeovers, reduce idle time, and improve overall manufacturing efficiencyGenerate reports and dashboards to communicate key findings and performance indicators related to product costing, routing/load balancing, manufacturing scheduling, and product strategyAnalyze labor costs associated with manufacturing processes, including direct labor hours, rates, and productivity.
Develop labor cost models and establish benchmarks for efficient labor allocationDevelop and maintain comprehensive product cost databases, capturing accurate and up-to-date cost information for different products and manufacturing facilitiesConduct regular variance analysis to identify deviations between actual and standard costs.
Investigate and provide explanations for significant cost variancesDevelop and maintain robust models and tools for manufacturing capacity planning, ensuring accurate forecasting and resource allocation across multiple print facilitiesDrive the development and execution of a product strategy playbook, collaborating with marketing, sales, and product development teams.
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to inform strategic decisionsConduct thorough cost analysis of products and manufacturing processes, including direct costs, overheads, and labor expenses.
Identify cost drivers and propose cost-saving initiativesMonitor and evaluate manufacturing performance metrics, such as production efficiency, yield, and downtime.
Identify areas of improvement and work closely with operations teams to implement corrective actionsGenerate regular reports and dashboards to communicate key findings and performance indicators related to manufacturing capacity planning and product costingStay updated with industry trends and best practices in manufacturing capacity planning and product costing.

com/761869694/1b7b9d7dbf /> Minimum Qualifications BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, Finance or related field Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment Strong understanding of manufacturing capacity planning concepts, such as demand forecasting, resource allocation, and production scheduling Solid knowledge of product costing methodologies, including standard costing, activity-based costing, and variance analysis Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Advance Excel user experience (data tables, formulas, pivot tables, graphs) An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, ambiguous and rapidly-changing environment Extremely detail-oriented to ensure quality and accuracy of results District Photo Inc.
