The RN Psychiatric Medical Treatment (PMT) Nurse plans, provides, and monitors individualized nursing care in response to specific patient needs within a defined scope of practice.
The PMT Nurse performs medical treatment needs to the patient population at Medical Tower II.
Medical treatments include but are not limited to performing peripheral IV insertion, lab draws, EKG s, aerosol treatments, nasogastric tube placement and wound care.
Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care respective to the assigned patient population.
Reports to Nurse Manager.
Requirements:
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license.
Increased Security Clearance for Job Role Required for Medical Tower II:
FBI fingerprint Criminal Background Check and Child Protective Services Registry Search.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Must have an Associates in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing with applicable experience, however a BSN is preferred.
Minimum 2 years medical experience required; psychiatric experience preferred.
One year pediatric experience preferred.
RN certification preferred.
CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
