Billing SpecialistJob
Summary:
As a Billing Specialist at our client, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments for our construction projects.
You will collaborate closely with various internal departments, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth billing operations and maintain financial transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Generate and distribute accurate invoices for completed construction projects in a timely manner.
Review contracts, purchase orders, and other project documentation to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with client agreements.
Maintain detailed records of billing activities, including invoice creation, payment processing, and account reconciliations.
Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to resolve billing discrepancies and address any outstanding issues.
Monitor and track payments from clients, ensuring prompt receipt and reconciliation of accounts receivable.
Prepare and distribute regular billing reports to management, providing insights into project financials and billing trends.
Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to billing and invoicing processes.
Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals, journal entries, and financial reporting as needed.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders and external clients, addressing inquiries and resolving billing-related concerns in a timely manner.
Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives to streamline billing operations and enhance overall departmental performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in billing or accounting roles, preferably within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of billing processes, invoicing systems, and financial principles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.

, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
